Bellydancing

Fire, Rhythm, and Dance. This will be an open circle for all skill levels of dancers. The drum workshops and circles are scheduled for your belly dancing rhythms. Takes place around the fire ring at the amphitheater.

Puck: Dancing is my happy place. My major dance back ground is in swing and blues dancing, which I started doing in college. I was soon dancing several times per week, sometimes driving an hour and a half to get to dances, and helping teach classes and work shops. I am also a fair salsa dancer, and taught both swing and salsa beginner classes in med school. My belly dancing back ground is more casual and piecemeal. I took a beginner progressive class that was once a week for several months in highschool, which is how I learned the basics. The SCA is another of my hobbies, and most of my belly dance experience has been dancing around a campfire to the rhythms of a drum circle. I've picked up much of my techniques from other SCAdians, and from watching Shakira videos on youtube over and over. I consider myself to have much to learn, but am happy to share my joy in dancing and impart the basics to others who wish to learn.
