Are monogamous people really welcome at Polycamp?
Yes: You might be the partner of a poly person, you could be a parent of child
of a poly person or you could be just plain curious. You are welcome to safely
explore the many aspects of the world of polyamory.
What about people in other sexual minorities?
Yes: We close the door to no one interested in learning about polyamory.
What kind of facilities/activities will there be for kids?
We try to keep all the families with kids camped together and away from folks who
are camping child-free. There are also family cabins on a first come, first served
basis. Workshops that are inappropriate for people under 18 will be clearly marked
in the program and signs will be posted.
It’s important to note that your children are your responsibility at all times.
We have activities and workshops that are age appropriate, but we cannot take
responsibility for your children’s behavior or welfare.
Will there be assigned campsites? How much choice do we have?
As to where people will be, we'll be keeping folks with kids together, folks without
kids together and pretty much filling the campsite in on a first-come, first-served
basis. We ask that tent campers stay off trails and off the large open fields.
Camping in the woods and along the edges of the fields is OK.
Please clean your campsite or cabin completely before leaving.
The clean-up crew has a large job to do in only a few hours on Monday. Please help
us get the place clean.
Do I have to clean up litter and messes that are not my own?
No, but if you do find litter, please pick it up. Accidents do happen and wind
catches materials before other campers have a chance to put them in the garbage.
If the “mess” is just too much of a job, contact any of the Polycamp personnel.
They should be wearing a lay of some sort identifying item.
I'm coming by myself and/or don't own a tent are there any
indoor sleeping accommodations?
Cabins beds are assigned on a first come-first served basis.
Please note: Polycamp is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
There is no way to secure this area so use will be at your own risk. We will
collect recovered items after clean-up and post them at this site with a lost
and found section 1 or 2 weeks after Polycamp.
How accessible is the site to the handicapped?
Some cabins and the Environmental Learning Center meets ADA standards. ADA cabins
are limited and are reserved on a first come-first served basis.
Is it true that the bathrooms are unisex?
That’s how it worked out in previous years. The bathrooms lend themselves to unisex
use and everyone was respectful of each others privacy boundaries.
...and ones we wished people would ask frequently.
