Turning Theory Into Practice, or “Do the Twenty
Somethings Have to Have Sex with the Sixtysomethings?”
From Heinlein’s intergenerational “Line Marriage” to closeted May/December
romances, polys have a variety of theories and practices that sometimes have
a rough time matching up. This year we will take a quick look at theory, a
longer look at what we are doing in our lives, and ask what creates authentic
intergenerational adult relationships. To the extent that there are problems
with intergenerational relationships, are they caused by pervasive social
taboos or flawed theory?
