A chance for us, as adults, to recapture the innocence
and connectivity of specifically non-sexual yet still very sensual touch.
The energy of this event is geared towards allowing us to let down our walls
in a safe space and enjoy our primate urge to socially touch one another
without worrying about someone hitting on you or making sexual advances.
Think flannel and a teddy bear, not lace and champagne.
We will begin the
event with a basic group grounding and then a few excersises to encourange
us to accuratly hold our bounderies. We'll practice actively asking for
permission to touch one another and waiting for permission before proceeding.
After a few guided activities the snuggle will progress naturally. Hugging,
spooning, hair brushing, pillow fights, stuffed animal panorama's, and of
course, snuggling are highly encouraged. Please come in pajama's or
similarly comfy clothing. No nudity or sexual actvity is appropriate for
this event, if the facilitator is uncomfortable with your conduct or
recieves a complaint about your conduct we reserve the right to ask you
to leave.
Helpfull things to bring are a water
bottle, favorite blanket and/or pillow, favorite stuffed toy or read aloud
book, and an open mind. We look forward to snuggling with you soon!
Please respect those who are allergic or sensitive to scents
and do not wear any to this event.
Nicole Schmidt of Limani Liberte: I have been activly Poly for seven,
almost eight, years now. I've been active in the Seattle area community for
about six years now. I'm a member of the Limani Liberte household out of
Edmonds which is activly and openly both Poly and Pagan. We're working to
encourage community by living it. I have close ties to both Sidhehaven and
Erosong houses and work in a Poly friendly coffeehouse in the Greenwood
neighbourhood of Seattle. I have been a touch positive advocate since I was
in my teens and I've been spinning poi for about seven years now. I have
the great gift of being able to be openly Poly in all areas of my life and
I do my best to be a good ambasador for the community as I know there are
many who are not comfortable being out to the world. I look forward to
forging new friendships and reaffirming old ones this year at Polycamp. |
